BACKGROUND:
Hello! My name is Hazel and I’m passionate about helping children, adolescents, and young adults navigate life’s challenges with warmth, compassion, and a little bit of humor sprinkled in between. With over six years of experience in the mental health field, I’ve had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including inpatient hospitals and residential treatment programs. I have experience leading group therapy; creating spaces where people feel comfortable to grow, connect and support one another.
I deeply believe in our ability to change, heal, and grow. Life can be messy and ugly, and seeking therapy can be daunting. My goal is to make the process as peaceful as possible, helping you feel confident in yourself and your choices. Therapy should be a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to take control of your life.
As an LGBTQIA+ ally and a first generation Latinx, I strive to provide an inclusive and affirming environment where you can show up as your authentic self. I specialize in working with individuals facing depression, anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, and other interpersonal challenges.
I am fluent in both English and Spanish and committed to making mental health care accessible to all.
Through the use of evidence-based techniques, we will work together to develop healthier ways of thinking and coping, so you can break free from old patterns and move towards the life you want.
